A part of Frederick knew he should just let it go, the same part that told him not to be an idiot and to go after Nicholas instead of staying out here trying to pick a fight with Kurt. But he was in a bad place, and he'd had so much humiliation recently, on top of his old baggage. Most of the people at Omega base thought he was a joke, and some would tell him to his face, regardless of the fact that he was paying for a lot of their amenities. He had been glad to be rid of the Acolytes team because the team leader had dressed him down and even given him a black eye, only to be under Shatterstar's lead, who had torn him a new one over abandoning his teammate in the middle of an extraction and generally screwing up as badly as anyone could. He had been blamed for everything except the hole in the ozone layer, he felt. There was no way in hell he was going to let this little, miserable bigot humiliate him because he thought a fucking kiss was wrong!
"No. No, I don't think I do," he answered, decidedly belligerent this time. "Why don't you explain it to me?" he went on, his voice rising in pitch as he grew more upset. Oh, no, you don't! Scion thought when Kurt began moving away. "Hey! I'm talking to you!"
