Re: Team 1: Rictor & Shatterstar
Ric was shaking his head as he followed Star, fighting the urge to scowl when Star took down both the guards without leaving him anything to do but gawk. I twas not that he really thought he could have done a better job of it, but it was still frustrating. He had really goofed up that last encounter, it would have been nice to redeem himself a bit, but it seemed Star did not intend to give him that chance. The wall of tension and unpleasant emotions between them was so thick it was almost a physical barrier as they moved through the compound.
Ric flipped Star the bird at the look the redhead shot him but wasted no more time than that. He shrugged his pack off and pulled out his netbook, plugging it into the terminal as it ran its start up process, cracking his knuckles as he waited. People back at the Haven were supposedly blanking the database systems, but Ric wanted to ensure there were no backups or cached information on the computers here. Likewise, he wanted to ensure that the digital tapes from the security cameras were blanked to make their get-away as clean as possible. He was absorbed in the process, licking his lips and pinching his brows together in concentration, attempting to be as thorough and speedy as possible.
At last he had gotten all he thought he could and started a program to clean up his digital tracks as much as possible. He turned away from his screen at last, flexing his fingers as he looked for Star. "How's it goin'?" Once he got the netbook unplugged and packed again, he would be ready to help in destroying the physical files.
