Who: Magneto, open to all Brotherhood who are active/want to be active What: Announcing weekend plans When: Saturday morning Where: Omega Base war room Magneto was pleased, to the point of looking downright smug. Everything had fallen into place, and he was confident that he had given his people enough time to settle into their new homes and new lives. The discussion last night had been a surprising one, but not only helpful, but highly encouraging. They were doing the right thing, of this Erik had never been so sure, and were on the path to a better world. He was dressed in black slacks and a blue button down shirt when his people began to arrive, his sport coat hanging over the back of his chair, which was situated at the head of the long table. While he was as composed as ever, pride showed through his features and was articulated by an almost boyish gleam of excitement in his steel blue eyes.
"My friends," he began once most everyone was seated, opening his hands to articulate that he meant everyone in the room. "I am sure you have all seen the news. The government is building robots to send against us, and arming these robots with Registration information. Innocent, peace-loving mutants will soon be in danger thanks to their foolishness and willingness to expose themselves. I feel that if the Mutant Registration Act was not enough of an attack, this turn of events surely is. I am sure you all know at least one mutant who has registered." There was a pause as his voice and eyes grew softer for a moment. "My good friend Charles registered. Some of you in this room may even be on their lists, with our without your consent."
He shook his head and lifted his jaw to show his determination. "But this battle has only just begun, and the government is about to discover what mutants, united together as brothers and sisters, can accomplish. Charles and his fold are not our enemies. In fact, I have been informed that thanks to the plans of a few still residing the Haven, as of tomorrow night, all the databases containing Registration data will be blanked. This is why I have called all of you here.
"The digital copies being destroyed will truly be a victory, however there are still physical copies. Where there is no way to ensure that every data sheet ever printed is no more, there are large strides that can be made. The main storehouse for all the data collected during the Mutant Registration Act is but a short drive from here, and I say it is a crime against mutant kind to allow it to remain. Coordinating our attack with the database being blanked will ensure that data is lost forever. I will not deceive you, it is well guarded and the task will present danger to your persons, but those of you willing to risk such perils will have taken the first step towards the preservation of mutant kind. So I ask you... who among you is ready to change the world?"
