Frederick, on the other hand, woke up late, and only because he'd left a wake up call with the front desk for an hour and a half before checkout time, just in case. He stretched after mumbling incoherently into the phone and hanging up, frowning when he didn't feel Bryan in bed with him. He knew the man had bolted even before he confirmed it by finding the note. Frederick felt it was rude to give bad news before coffee. Bad form. He scowled at the note, his face twisting into a disgusted sulk.
"Yeah, uh huh. This proves something all right, that you're a humongous ass," he grumbled, crumpling up the note and tossing it at the far wall. "See if I come to your rescue next time," he kept on grumbling at the empty room, voice hoarse with sleep as he stumbled about, getting ready to go home. He'd spend a good portion of the day in a bad mood, all the while telling himself he didn't care, since he'd gotten what he wanted.
