Logan was right about one thing. You never did know when someone was going to snap. Laura was always a cautious girl so that part of the answer didn't come as a surprise.
The next part of his answer, however, was not something she expected. Laura wasn't oblivious. She knew she was attractive, but she wasn't the sort of girl that spoke that out loud or flaunted it. She wasn't full of herself either, so she hadn't thought at all that that's what Logan could have meant. Wonderful. She hadn't even known her biological father for a day and already he was talking about warning guys away from her. Laura merely regarded him with a displeased expression as she answered. "Yeah, I know what you mean." She wasn't about to get into it with him right now, but rest assured, she'd speak her mind when there was the potential for him to ruin something.
The change of subject was appreciated, but she wasn't about to forget what he had said. "Sure," she replied, wiping her own hands of dried up blood as well. "I'll meet you out front in a while then." Walking out of the Danger Room, she set off toward her room.
