Laura kept spinning around in all directions, slicing, punching and kicking the robot attackers. She hadn't been in a fighting situation since the solar flare except maybe once, but it wasn't like this. Regardless, she felt like she was going into sensory overload, but she tried not to lose her focus even as she listened to Logan speak. "A war with humans? Why would he want that?"
When Logan went to jump over her, she ducked and looked his way. "I'm not cocky," she retorted firmly as she spun around to land a roundhouse kick on one of the metal attackers. It kinda hurt even though she did more damage to it than it did to her. Mental note: invest in steel-toed boots if I'm going to be doing this more often.
She didn't understand all the logistics of the split, but if this Magneto guy thought they were too soft and was about to get into a war with humans, than that's all she needed to know. The Haven seemed like the better place to be. "So you're staying?" she found herself asking. It was kind of a dumb question though, wasn't it? Especially since he was still here and training people for Xavier's team. Laura had indeed taken notice that he left his right flank vulnerable and bounded over to protect it. Just as an arm was about to swing toward Logan, Laura threw her right forearm up to block it, wincing as the metal came in contact with her flesh. That was gonna leave a bruise for a bit. Digging her left claws into the machine, it stopped whirring, but not without giving her a healthy dose of electric current first.
