Since they were both kind of easing toward this, Laura didn't feel quite as shocked when Logan finally confirmed that they were indeed related. When she was younger, Laura didn't really wonder much about who her father was. Sarah was a strong, independent woman and was able to give Laura all the parental nurturing and security she could want or need. Even so, as she stood before the man she now knew to be her father, she felt a sense of wholeness. He was the one that had given her this mutant gene and everything that came with it. And those genes were the reason why she had survived the solar flare. The jury was still out on whether or not that was a good thing.
At his initial answer, Laura merely nodded her head. Her eyes wandered around the room for a bit until he shot out a series of questions. "My senses are heightened.. I can smell things others can't, but I can't really smell you." Now she figured that was because they shared some of the same genetic markers. Not only did Laura now have a father, but she also had a brother? Alright, well half-brother. This was going to be interesting.
"I, um..." Laura crossed her arms and looked down, not knowing what else to say. Now she felt uncomfortable and awkward. Could they just start the simulator and start kicking some ass? That would certainly help her feel a bit better.
