Laura just couldn't stop staring. It was only when he mentioned that they used to be bone that she was able to pry her eyes away from them and focused on Logan's face instead. He had heard about her. From whom, she had no idea. The people at the security office? Piotr? Kitty?
The awkward silence didn't feel like a silence at all to her. A million and one questions seemed to be swimming through her mind at the moment, not allowing her a bit of quiet within her head. Within a matter of a minute, her expression changed from one of shock, to one of confusion and finally ended up on one of some sadness as Logan asked about her mother.
"Sarah... her name was Sarah." Laura could feel the hurt start to well up inside and her throat began to feel a bit tight. She wanted to look away from him, but she couldn't. The girl was well aware that she wasn't the product of a relationship or even a one night stand. When Laura was old enough, Sarah had told her daughter that her father was an unknown sperm donor. He had to be the unknown donor... right? Laura wasn't about to ask him that though. Instead, she remained quiet, finally able to look away from him.
