Logan looked at Laura over his shoulder. "Maybe. If ya make the team," he shot back, automatically teasing a little like he would any newcomer. He grinned lopsided before adding, "Some folks take on codenames anyway. Up t'you, I guess." He walked over to the control panel and punched the safety settings. He finally stood facing Laura, dressed in his training fatigues, a black tee-shirt and his uniform boots. It was important to Logan to wear for training whatever footwear he was going to or might be wearing in the field. The grip and weight of it would dictate his moves in combat up to a point, so it was good to get a feel for that.
"So, I guess we can get started, rookie. Y'got any questions? How 'bout a name? Ya got one of those?" He was already sizing her up, looking at her stance, her apparent fitness level, and just her obvious body language. The computer interface announced the training program's readiness.
"Training program X-Men 005 beginning in 10... 9..." came the artificial voice over the speakers.
"Belay that order, voice print authorization Wolverine."
"Voice print authorization Wolverine acknowledged. Holding," the computer replied after a five second pause while it matched voice to database.
"So, y'were saying?" he prompted, even though Laura hadn't said anything yet.
