Erik had the sense of mind to murmur an apology when the howl of pain which turned Nik from something vaguely human into something entirely wolf met his ears. He did not let up, however. Nik had not called for him to stop, and thus he was not going to. His eyes were intense and focused, his breathing coming quickly due to the energy it took to concentrate his powers this much. He had not worked so hard with his abilities since the event with Wolverine.
When the trigger was at last found and the wolf became a man, Magneto dropped the fields almost immediately. He did not want to accidentally push things back the other way and rob the man of what he had just been given. Erik was quite winded, his brow drenched in sweat and he felt quite weak in the knees. Had there been a tree near by, he would have leaned upon it, but for now he stayed still, attempting to regain his composure while showing as little of his weariness as was humanly possible. He cleared his throat after a few moments of gathering his breath before he spoke to the mutant before him, concern touching his words. "Are you well?" He was ready to shrug his jacket off and offer it to the German, were he too cold. He almost apologized once more for the pain the transformation had caused, but thought better of it at that moment. It seemed Nik had something on his mind other than pain.
