Re: Faith & Mags
She was perhaps easily overlooked, as quiet as she was. That was part of why no one ever saw her as a threat. And indeed, she wasn't one. Perhaps it was partly survival mechanism that let her blend so easily into the background, so the predators wouldn't notice her. And it seemed the predators were getting more and more numerous, these days.
Faith knew that the doctor was going with Erik and his people, a fact she wasn't completely happy with. She liked the older man, looked up to him. The healer had reached the same conclusion that Dr. Moreau had, but her actions because of it were quite different. Her own dark eyes were serious, almost worried, as she watched Erik approach. There was something more to him, she was convinced. Not something bad, put he was a strong personality, and the wordless question drew an almost immediate answer. She had never found herself intimidated by him before, but there was a first time for everything. "I never intended to go with you." Spoken quietly, before he could ask. "But...I find myself with a problem. You, those leaving...I can't stand the thought that something might happen, someone might get badly hurt or die. I heard what you said. You're going to be doing more dangerous things. I don't know what to do, but I have some ideas." This was hard for her, obviously. Tension screamed from her body as she spoke, along with nervousness.
