Frederick's grin would have made the Cheshire cat proud. He held up his fist for Bryan to bump and said, "All right!" He then snatched up his shirt and slipped it on, the ocean blue of it lighting up his already colorful visage like a peacock on LSD. Perhaps all the pretty colors would hypnotize Bryan into giving him some honey. Oh, come on, a guy can dream! He kicked the cover out of the way and tossed Bryan the keys.
Looking even more pleased with himself, if such a thing were possible, Frederick reached under the dash and produced something that looked like a remote of some sort. "Check this out," he said, pointing the gadget at his car. At the press of a button, the license plate rolled under and was replaced by a completely different one, this one from Florida. He snickered. "I saw it in some spy movie. You don't wanna know how much I paid for that." So much for having left his illegal past behind. "Suck on that, speed cameras."
"Top down, right?" he asked finally, before hopping into the passenger seat.
