"In for?" he repeated with a smile, looking at that face with a little more ease than a moment ago. The more he talked the more normal he seemed and the more normal he seemed it was easier for Bryan to forget about the taller man's differences. "You make it sound like prison." he shrugged mostly to himself, "I had to sell my car to repay bail money I owed my brother, so I'm here trying to remember what it was like." it hadn't been that hard of a choice for him though, he had hated his car at the time and it was important for him to never owe his brother money, even if the older man never asked to be repaid. Him getting a new car was likely a bad idea though, he'd been watching too many races and too much Top Gear, if he was able to drive like those he watched he was sure he'd never manage to pay off the speeding tickets.
"As for being in Haven? Well, I got outed then jumped, assholes shattered both of my legs, couldn't walk for a while. The nature of my mutation has the possibility of leading to violence and since every small town in Indiana is small enough for everybody to know everybody, I knew if I got attacked again I might manage to kill somebody I know and end up going to prison for a very long time." he shrugged again. "When I was able to walk again my brother and I packed our things and headed here."
His grin grew a little, "I haven't driven since before I was attacked, I think I keep coming to visit the garage is to work up my courage to try driving again. That or to work up courage to try to boost one of the less flashy cars and take it for a spin. Can't really fight the itch when it comes. But I will say that if I had family money to spend I would have gone with the 2014 Lotus Elite, that car has the power to make people come just by driving by them."
