Ric waved one hand, trying to show that it was not so big a deal. "Alex is a soldier, or was. He's all uptight and says stuff like that. I wouldn't take it too personally, he just expects us to be... well, soldiers. I dunno about you, amigo, but I'm sure not one." He laughed, and literally face-palmed at the suggestion that Alex did not like the movies. This guy really was something, wasn't he?
The silence became almost immediately uncomfortable for Rictor, who shifted a little and found himself at a loss for what to do now that he no longer had a cigarette to occupy his hands or mind. "Well..." He announced awkwardly, trying to decide if he should excuse himself and go hunting Shatterstar, or if the redheaded mutant would show up demanding him any minute now anyway. "I uh, my roommate..." He began awkwardly, unsure of Scion would take it as some sort of brushoff and be offended. Ric generally did not care just what people made of him, but this guy seemed so eager to be accepted and spoken to, it gave him pause.
