"Beating around the bush is one of my specialties," Ric shrugged, and it was true. He was the king of saying everything but waht he was acutally saying, at least until he lost his temper. It drove Star nuts more often than not, but the two had, somehow, managed to learn to communicate. That was a miracle unto itself, really.
Ric's mouth pulled into a thin line at the question, he clearly steeling himself. It was something of a wonder to him that someone might not know, but well...t his guy was new. And if his instincts told him anything, which to be fair, they rarely did, he seemed pretty self-absorbed. It was better he knew, Ric thought, rather than accidental jam a button and get himself cooked to a crisp. He took a slow drag of his cigarette to steady himself, then nodded before he spoke.
"He lost his brother, man. It... he had to bring the body back here himself. It... wasn't pretty." That was really all he could get out, and the way lines formed around his lips and eyes showed that the pain was still rather raw, even for him. He had been no real friend of Gabe's, but the pain is death had caused Havok was very real for Rictor, and he could not help but feel the ache for the loss of one of their own.
