Ric held up one hand, as if to say he was not judging. "It was the look you gave that guy. That was about as blatant as you can get without copping a feel," he offered with a little grin. "Movies?" He asked as his brows shot up. There were very few ways to take that, and while Ric was not really 'up' on Hollywood, he was rather sure he had not seen this guy in the mainstream movies. That meant... Oh hell. His mind raced for a minute as he thought, there was a good chance he had seen the guy, given all the shit Shatterstar dug up for 'research,' but nothing was coming to mind just yet, so Ric gave an inner sigh of relief. "I'm just being upfront, man," he shrugged.
Ric nodded, smoke leaving his nostrils at his laugh. "Yeah, that's her. She's a good kid, I didn't think she'd stick it out this long." Really, he thought she had seen too much, but that was the life of mutants, it seemed. The outburst brought another chuckle from Ric, his head dropping back with amusement. Wow, this guy was something, wasn't he? "Friends, not best friends. He's a good guy, a little more, uh..." He hesitated, trying to find the right word to describe Alex. "More driven than me, but..." Star was too, so Ric had learned to just accept it. "He's had... a rough time of shit lately." It wasn't much of an excuse, but it was still a fact, and Ric felt Scion deserved to know.
