Jamie's reaction made Frederick laugh. Not a mocking laugh, or a belly laugh. It certainly wasn't giggling, or tittering, either. It was that mischievous, boyish sound of a man laughing like a devilish little kid. Jamie had always brought that out in Frederick, and Frederick could see that he hadn't lost his touch either. It did wonders for his mood to realize that he could still get under Jamie's skin so easily. He remembered he had made a sport of making the guy flustered back when they were kids. He ignored the flailing and patted his old friend on the shoulder. "This is so wild, man! What a small world, both of us here, both of us mutants," he said happily, the accident mostly forgotten on his end as well. Mostly.
"Hey, so... umm... one of you mentioned the med-lab? Sheesh, I really am so sorry. Hop on and let me park and I'll take you there, okay?" he offered, gesturing towards his baby, a customized Iridium green Bentley Continental GTC with creamy linen-colored and contrasting Loxley green leather interiors. His pride and joy, from the stately beige and magnolia roof to the two-tone steering wheel and birds eye maple veneer trimmings. He had to almost physically restrain himself from checking his car over for damage. He'd have to come back later and do that, he told himself, after Jamie was checked out. He reached out to put an arm around Jamie's shoulders if he would allow it, with the intention of guiding him to the car.
