Re: Havok & Star - Inside, crowd control
When Star tossed the mens' guns and radios aside, Alex held up a hand to get him to pause for a moment. The blond man immediately picked up the radios, handing one to his teammmate before putting in the earpiece. "Lets us track where they are and what's going on, at least a bit. Never underestimate the value of tapping your enemy's communication systems." And indeed, the chatter over the radio was a mix of the people running to the front and the people running to the back. Where they were, and where the strange seismic event had probably damaged things.
Of course, there weren't a lot of people headed their way. That much Star was correct in thinking. Even as they waited for the next forces to arrive, Alex busied himself separating the guards' guns from the clips and any other ammo that might be in them. Then throwing the pieces in different directions. No reason to make it easier for the other side to rearm.
It wouldn't be long before reinforcements arrived, and Havok was content to let Star handle the first couple around the corner, while he took the next few. It was satisfying in a way, to get in a fight that didn't involve guns or powers. Just his fists, knees, feet, and anything else that he could get his hands on. Though perhaps the team leader got carried away about the time he smacked one of the remaining guards with an office chair, sending the poor man to the ground rather heavily. "...heh." Looking at the chair in his hands, then carefully setting it back down. "Well, I guess it was effective?"
