Re: Havok & Star - Inside, crowd control
Shatterstar's eyes moved around their periphery, but every once in a while he watched Rictor concentrate, a fierce pride and love warring in his eyes as the wall crumbled just so, enough to let them in without causing irreparable harm to the greater structure. He knew first hand how hard Ric had secretly worked on his focus and control over his power, and he knew of his secret fear of losing control of it. The swarthy man could potentially cause a catastrophic upheaval of the tectonic plates deep under their feet. What he was doing was tantamount to doing microsurgery with a mile-long blade, and it filled Star with awe and admiration. The part of his brain that housed Benjamin Russell's old brain patterns couldn't help but think, That's so hot. The unexpected idiomatic expression popping into his head caused a smirk to tug at Shatterstar's usually serious mouth. It lasted for a fraction of a second, and then Star was all business once more, his mind on mission.
"Copy that." He nodded at Alex and, having been instructed to use non-lethal force unless absolutely necessary, kept his twin katanas sheathed behind his back. He moved towards the nearest corner of the building, close to the wall, nimble and agile like a cat. Two guards came around the bend to see what might have caused the seemingly localized tremor and were swiftly disabled in a blur of white and scarlet, the colors of Star's uniform. He dragged the unconscious bodies a few feet away from the corner and safely handcuffed them in case they came to. He then removed their radios and guns and tossed them aside, out of reach. All the time he was alert to anyone else coming around towards them, but he figured most of the police force would be towards the front of the building, where the potential lynch mob was making a ruckus.
