Oh, suuuuure. Havok could blow the wall. Of course he could, but Ric knew what the guy had been through recently and was not about to let the man push his powers like this. A bit of gentle insisting and Ric got the job of taking down the wall to bust this ice-mutant out of his holding cell. The wall was the point... not the whole building, which he fully expected of Havok. Not that he doubted his team leader, but really, earth-shattering mutant powers on heightened emotions? Not a good thing.
That was how Ric found himself standing in front of the rest of his teammates, eyes narrowed as he stretched his arms towards the building. Drawing energy from the earth beneath his feet, he sucked in a breath, then let out a short cry as green ribbons of power moved from his outstretched fingertips and to the wall. It quivered visibly, then the sound began. Teeth gritted, Rictor continued poring his seismic powers against the obstacle, at last the rumbling became too much and the wall began to break away in large chunks, falling to the ground in large debris clouds. It was over quickly, and the hole he had produced was only five or six feet larger than he had intended.
Huffing a little more than he would have liked, Ric pushed his shaggy hair out of his eyes and flashed his teammates a grin. "And there's our door," he announced, motioning for them to go ahead. Only partly to show off, mostly to hide the fact that he needed a minute to recover, it had been a very long time since he had gone after something so large, and used so much control to make sure the whole thing did not go down.
