"I was here when Logan hurt me badly... or my dupe was," Jamie muttered lowly, a small rumble of displeasure rising from the dupes. They all remembered that. Seeing yourself die? Not a fun thing. But he was getting over that, even if his leg still randomly ached from phantom pains. That had been out of Logan's control, the man wasn't really like that, or so he had gathered.
"I guess I see... a lot of this as a play for dominance," he answered with a shake of his head. "It's not uncommon in the animal world--male lions eat the cubs so they can mate again, this is just the human version of it." He thought a moment before quickly lifting both hands. "Not that it's right or good or I condone it, but..." But under it all they were all animals, controlled by biology. The giggling protests of Faith made all the dupes happy, but the mood was quickly sapped by the dupe, Jamie was happy to see him absorbed and gone for now.
Her question caused Jamie to shrug, his hands sinking into the pockets of his coat. "Hey... we all have our down days, right? He's just all of mine shoved into one. He's a part, but a small part," he added with another smile, trying to lift her mood. "I'm fine," he assured once more, more firmly this time.
"And if he weren't, we'd cheer him up, right guys!" One of the dupes chimed in, tossing his arms around the shoulders of Prime and a second dupe.
"I know I would! "You'd just embarrass him." "Humpf."
