He snorted, a hint of a pleased smirk pulling at one corner of his lips as Logan called him by his name, rather than 'kid.' True, he was still very much a kid in the eyes of anyone who really mattered, but Karr had been through enough hell to where he thought himself more than enough of a man to be addressed as one. The pleased expression quickly faded from his face as Logan continued however, his jaw setting as he resisted the urge to sneer and snarl.
"Well 's better 'n sittin' back and doin' nothin', like you folks do," he spat quickly back. He had clearly taken Logan's words as an attack, and he was ready to fire back with a swipe of his own. His jaw lifted slightly as he took another sip of his beer. "I mean hell, I do like the action, 's the fun part, but it does somethin'! I dunno how you can stand it, sittin' around all th' time, babysittin' at that glorified daycare. I can't do it. I won't. Not 'nymore." He huffed out his nostrils, slammed his beer down, then folded his arms stubbornly over his chest. Oh no, he was not going to make any part of this easy.
