News 8 Morning News Who: News 8 Reporter What: Morning News: Sentinel Upgrades When: Morning News Friday, May 28th Where: Broadcast to the greater NYC area Project Sentinel announced upgrades to their equipment today. Sentinel Soldiers have now been issued helmets and visors with built in scanning and face recognition software, for immediate use in the field. These visors use state-of-the-art micro cameras and computer technology to automatically detect faces and match them to the Mutant Registration Division's registered and known violation lists. If the face of a known mutant is recognized, this technology will automatically project information about mutant's powers as well as if the mutant is in violation of the Registration Act inside the helmet's visor to allow Soldiers to have as much accurate information as quickly as possible.
"This is only the first step towards more effectively protecting humans and their families from the dangers of renegade mutants," a spokesperson for Project Sentinel announced. "With more information, Soldiers will be able to make better, more educated decisions more quickly and more effectively protect innocents from danger."
Project Sentinel has stated that more technology is in the works, and is expected to unveil their next advancement soon.
