News 8 Morning News Who: News 8 Reporter What: Morning News: The Cure Campaign Begins When: Morning News Sunday, April 4th Where: Broadcast to the greater NYC area Worthington Pharmaceuticals began their aggressive marketing campaign this week for their new serum, the Mutant Cure. The Cure is still considered experimental, however it has been deemed safe for mutant use. Spokespeople for The Cure explain that the process begins with a two-week course of treatment which requires daily injections by a doctor. After this initial two weeks, mutants should experience a complete absence in genetic anomalies, however those with certain kinds of mutations may require a slightly longer session of daily injections. Once anomalies have stopped entirely, mutants will only require weekly injections, decreasing gradually down to monthly until the serum has completely repaired their DNA.
The Mutant Cure has shown promising and dramatic results in testing and has been proven to reverse both "powers" and physical mutations. The Cure will become available to the public on Monday, April 12th. A representative for Worthington Industries stated that their decision to begin their advertising campaign on Easter Sunday was very deliberate, saying: "Easter is traditionally a time for rebirth, regrowth and hope. This is what the Cure provides, a second chance, a rebirth back into normalcy, a chance to return to being entirely human. There is hope for mutants, life can be normal again."
Expect to see many posters, billboard and television commercials over the next week as The Cure is prepared for public consumption. Worthington Pharmaceuticals is offering The Cure at the price of $40 per injection, and The Cure is covered by most insurance.
