Dan was right that she didn't want him doing anything without her knowing. It wasn't for the healthiest reason though. She wasn't being careful about trusting him. It was that never ending urge to know what was going to happen. "You're right," she said. "I'd definitely rather be awake and know what was going to happen first."
She gestured for him to follow her into the kitchen. "I'm going to have some. Which is another reason I'm glad you woke me up." There was a teapot full of boiling water on her stove. Grabbing another cup and two tea bags, she poured the tea carefully.
"I'm not sure," she admitted honestly as she handed him the mug. "It started after I began working on a podcast investigating a pretty well known skeptic and these things he calls the black tapes. Documented paranormal events that he couldn't debunk."
