After having put the phone in her back pocket and picking a direction, Beverly Marsh started walking. She headed away from the library, since that seemed to make the most sense. Her sleeves were rolled up to her elbows, ignoring pretty much everyone else as she headed down towards the store, following an oddly conveniently placed sign that read Store.
Huh.
She slowed as she approached, seeing the building looming overhead and she felt a surge of anxiety twisting in her stomach which made her steps falter. What if this wasn't real? What if it was- what if it was another trick?
She checked her phone again and took a deep breath. Richie had said he'd seen Eddie and Stan both, alive and it was almost too good to be true. Too much to hope that it was real.
She'd not dreamed of them since she'd gone back to Derry, the nightmares had long since faded into obscurity, replaced by much brighter dreams but her friends were still in them. The ones that were still alive, anyway.
Rubbing her hands together, Bev lifted her chin and walked across the small parking lot in front of the store, only to see-
"Oh my God, Eddie!"
She broke into a run and skidded to a halt in front of him, not really mindful of any of the items he might have been carrying (and honestly she wasn't really looking, the sight of Eddie alive and breathing and looking sort of neurotic was all she could see) as she threw herself at him, hands cupping his face, "It's you- it's- it's really- it's really you. Fuck-"
Bev pulled him into a tight hug. Her breath hitched a little and she pressed her lips together, fighting the urge she had to cry. It was unbecoming and Richie would never let her live it down.
