What: Settling in Where: A bar to start When: Evening Warnings: Michael Guerin is a warning? Status: Closed, Incomplete/In progress
Michael wasn't sober enough for this. To be fair, he wasn't sure how much being sober would actually help. He had no idea where he was, or how he'd ended up here. Maybe he was passed out somewhere, and this was the crazy alt-world his alcohol soaked brain was creating. Right. So why was Liz here with him? Why not Maria? Or...Or Alex. If it was all in his head, then he and Alex could be together, they could be happy in here. But no. Not Alex. Instead he got Liz. His dead brother's girlfriend.
At least he'd managed to get her to agree to take him to a bar. Maybe he could sweet talk her into paying for a few rounds. He had a knack for getting people to but his drink. Or at least ignoring his tab. If this really was all in his head, surely Maria would be behind the bar where ever they went. The fact that she wasn't really threw a wrench into Michael's thought processes. He didn't know what to think, but he was thinking way too much. He needed a drink, fast.
He gave the barkeeper his order and glanced at Liz. He just knew she was going to lecture him and he didn't want to deal with it. Maybe he could get her drunk so she'd forget to be all stern mama bear at him for a while. Yep, that was his new plan. Get her drunk, make her forget how reckless he was being, and then they could gorge themselves on the chocolate cake that he was going to insist on getting before they found a place to sleep it off.
