Connor stood outside one of the shops in the center of Night Vale, waiting for Roxy to show up. They had agreed to meet up to talk and explore a bit more of the town and Connor was honestly looking forward to it. It would be good for him to interact with someone who wasn't Hank. As much as he enjoyed Hank's friendship and company, he was reliably informed that people tended to have a greater number of interactions than that. And given that Roxy seemed to be a pleasant individual, it made sense to interact with her. She was certainly nicer than Hank's adopted teenager or his friends. He fidgeted while he waited, rolling his coin along his knuckles in his standard nervous tic. Not that he was nervous. Androids weren't nervous, by nature. But he supposed he was a bit apprehensive about meeting someone new in person. He hadn't, after all, had the best history with people. But Roxy seemed nice enough. Very nice, actually. Certainly better than Gavin or any of the other detectives at the precinct had been. Nicer even than Hank, who as much as he liked him still tended to be pretty abrasive. So, all in all, he had decent hopes for the day. He stopped, letting the coin drop into his other hand and then slipping it into his pocket, when he spotted Roxy and gave her a small smile. "Hello," he greeted her. "It's good to meet you in person." |
