Caleb was knocked dumb from the words that Molly was laying out, the way that he was approaching the situation. Caleb had delved rather deeply into denial, convincing himself that there was some way that magic could fix this, that he could return Molly home from here should it ever prove necessary for them to leave. Caleb was living in denial, and he was struggling not to face the reality that Molly was laying on him right now. He'd fix this. He'd figure out some way to fix it.
Reaching out, Caleb settled his hand lightly over Molly's, blinking a bit in confusion at Molly's last few words as he looked up at him. Yes. He understood the significance of the tattoo, but at the same time... the way he said that, Caleb felt like he was missing something.
"It's a symbol of rebirth," Caleb said, shifting his gaze back down to the phoenix. "Of pulling yourself from a situation that should have been fatal and creating life anew," He said, a wry smile twisting his features for a moment as he looked up at Molly. "It's a giant fuck you to the person who did that to you, if I've ever seen one."
