Things like this had always been Zelda's favorite, even back home. Granted, court functions were wildly different from any of these events, and given her station back home she had never been quite so free to approach whoever she liked.
Another benefit was that no rumors would follow her here. Back home she lived a carefully crafted lie, at least appearance wise, and her former spymaster had installed a veritable network of agents to ensure her reputation stayed as pristine as her people imagined it. Here she needed none of that. No one cared who she talked to, who she befriended and if she wanted to show interest in someone it wouldn't be discussed, and picked apart.
She was rather liking it. But first, manners being as they were, she had to greet the host of the party. Smiling, she approached Kate "Kate. You look lovely, and the party is a wild success and truly lovely. Thank you.
