Who: Caleb and Quentin What: Caleb has a gift When: Saturday morning Where: Quentin's place Rating: Low Status: Ongoing
The ghosts in the jars had finally started to work, and Caleb was very pleased with himself. He had gifted one to Beau, and he had of course given one to Molly to do with what he wished. Ones had gone to Anders and Dorian, too. The others, perhaps seven of them, were on sale in the store, though he wasnât sure if people would really be in the mood for such things. Having ghosts floating in a jar was one thing, but having them hovering around the house was another, even if they were just...magical air. But as most of the sad, cat loving, mage boy club had one, he had set one aside for Quentin, too. A little purple ghost. The purple ones were his favourite, only because Molly was purple, and if that didnât say something about his hopeless feelings-
He carried his jar of purple ghost to his friendâs door, hoping it was a nice surprise and not just something weird. Caleb had never been good at giving gifts, and he was sure not everyone was as excited by this Halloween thing as he was growing to be. The possibility of him dressing up and wearing a costume was low, but it didnât mean he couldnât enjoy the other parts of it.
Quentin's home was nice. It was nice that he had somewhere familiar to call home. Caleb only had the tower, but it gave him such a sense of comfort to have that familiar thing in such a weird world. He couldn't say he felt at home here yet, but he would put up with all of this craziness because it meant that Molly was alive and with him.
But back to Quentin. Caleb cradled his ghost jar under his arm and knocked on the door.
