Caleb wasn't particularly bothered about people walking into the shop whilst he was mostly paying attention to whatever it was he was working on. No one stole from them that he was aware of, and most people who came in usually asked for advice over things to buy or recommendations, or asked for the things that were kept behind the counter. So the sound of someone coming in didn't bother him. The dog that he caught out of the corner of his eye was a little bit disconcerting, though. Caleb was very much a cat man. But he knew who Rufus belonged to, and lifting his eyes he saw Daylen accompanying his dog, giving him a return nod.
"Good morning, Mister Daylen," Caleb said, still focusing on his jar and letting the other man wander around and look for whatever it was that he was looking for. He should probably have expected a query about his work. He really should have.
"Oh- yes. I am attempting to make a ghost in a jar," Caleb replied as though that were the most obvious thing in the world. "I was hoping it would be a good decoration for this holiday that is coming up. It isn't something we have back home, but I have heard that it involves ghosts and scary things. I had thought that these could be released from their jars and perhaps float around for a little while, but at the moment they do not seem to want to take the form I wish for them to take," he added with a sigh, giving up on his task for a few moments to direct all of his attention on Daylen.
"What can I help you both with, though? Or are you just passing through?"
