Okay, so. Perhaps Beau hadn't been the greatest of friends lately - perhaps she'd go as far as to say she'd been entirely shitty. There were reasons, of course - she had a job, a girlfriend, a life or at least the makings of something like one here - and maybe she couldn't exactly be faulted for needing time to readjust to having her old family back given how long it had just been her and Molly. But the point was, she should have checked up on Caleb sooner, should have realised he'd keep plodding along on his own without her actively pushing. Lesson learned, hopefully without any lasting harm. And now, at least, she was trying to fix things.
