Who: Caleb and Beauregard What: Empire Siblings catch up When: Friday Morning Where: Caleb's place Status: Ongoing Rating: Low
Caleb felt as though he had been alone for a long time. Working, yes. But it seemed as though if no one came to bother him he would live in solitude happily without any interaction with other people. Perhaps 'happily' was not the correct word to use, because there was nothing particularly happy about him. And the rational part of him reminded himself that he had allowed that sadness to fester by not reaching out to any of his friends.
That he hadn't re-summoned Frumpkin, that he hadn't backed out of that promise was a miracle in itself. But perhaps that was why he had his new little friend wandering around now. Currently, the thing he had refused to name was eating a stack of paper that Caleb no longer needed whilst Caleb watched from his sofa, cross-legged and deep in thought.
Beau was coming to visit. And then Molly was coming to visit. And he wasn't sure why he was being blessed with so much attention in one day, but he really had to find a way to deal with it, because it had been such a long time. Of course he had gone to work, he had spoken to the people he worked with and the occasional customer, but this was different.
At least it had given him the motivation to clean up. And there was tea on. And the tower was up, as usual, in case anyone wanted anything to eat. Caleb was pretty set.
"Please don't try and eat my friends," he said to the fiery thing, which shifted as though to look at him. "You must be good when we have guests, ja?"
