There was no point in convincing Beau otherwise. She was stubborn and incredibly selfless and he knew she loved him, so she was going to stay. And Caleb was grateful for that. He needed someone with him right now, and he was genuinely glad it was her.
He reached up a hand and placed it over the one on his shoulder, giving it a gentle squeeze. "Of all the places in all the- worlds, universes, I don't know, it seems improbable that I would end up here where he is. And now I either try and work out how to go back in case I am no longer there, or I don't worry about it-" and stay here selfishly, where he could deal with whatever problems arose with a whole town of people rather than just a handful of others. Where he might have time to live that boring life he always thought he was destined for. "You are back home helping me take care of things. If I am not there then I know you won't rest regardless. I am very lucky to have you." Caleb wasn't big on sincere sentiment and emotion, all of that stayed locked away still, but sometimes it spilled over.
He patted Beau's hand again and let her pull back, returning both hands to his glass.
"It is more of a summer camp, I suppose. She wanted to teach children the basics of being adventurers, and I am going to teach them how to use magic. I think it started as a thought about Luc, but it has expanded. Or the idea has. Fjord and Jester are going out to see your bar at Rumblecusp, actually. And-" he gestured vaguely around as though Beau would somehow know he was talking about new not!Molly. "He is with them. Caduceus stayed at the Grove. We went there immediately after the fight with Lucien, and he didn't want to leave again. And Yasha is helping you and I." He said the last bit carefully, though he looked across the room as he did so, giving Beau the privacy of whatever facial expressions she needed for a few moments.
