A dismissive half-wave, and she ploughed on. "Besides, most places seem to have a 'someone you know just arrived, drop everything and go help them' clause now, because this shit just keeps happening."
At his comment about seeming happy her smile broadened, reflexively, and the second her brain caught up and noticed she felt her cheeks burning, and rubbed the back of her neck self-consciously. "Yeah? Things are... they're good, you know? I mean, I miss Y- you lot, the Nein, and all, and sometimes everything just goes crazy and there's, like, killer plants in the apartments or a sea that wasn't there yesterday or whatever but... You kinda get used to it? Which, yeah, totally nuts."
Reaching over she refilled his glass from her bottle, without waiting for his go-ahead to do so. "So what did you need to tell me? About Molly?"
