I think many of the threats are yet to be determined. There seems to be a rather odd habit about here of treating things that would otherwise be seen as potentially, if not certainly, lethal as matters of the mundane and every day.
And it does seem especially rude to deal with something that the locals would insist does not need to be dealt with.
