Garak! This is certainly a surprise. I hadn't realized that you were here. Though it certainly makes sense that you would familiarize yourself with the facts of the situation before making your presence known. It is rather like you. I must admit that I'm curious as to your opinions of this place. No doubt the temperature is much more to your liking than the station was. Though the nights can still get quite cool, so as your doctor I would suggest you be mindful of that. And there is certainly less of a Dominion presence. Or really none. There's quite a few members of Starfleet, of course, but no others from our own crew. You'll just have to settle for me.
Goodness, there is so much that I need to tell you. Do you know about Actually, it's probably best to check that we're even from the same time. Apparently temporal anomalies are quite common here and don't seem to affect things back home - or at least that seems to be the prevailing theory. It's really all very fascinating, this place and the people here. Not to mention the occasional incidents. There have been several over the months, apparently. I haven't experienced many of them, but others have and there's information about them.
But as to lunch, I'm certainly glad that you wish to resume them. And there are plenty of options. Granted, several of those options seem somewhat dangerous, but then that might be part of the charm for you. In any case, I was just reading a new book. If you like, I could loan it to you and we could discuss it over lunch.
