kate & beau.
At least she'd gotten a laugh out of Beau. That was something. Kate still felt flustered, but the feeling was starting to pass. It helped that Beau really was gorgeous in a very androgynous kind of way. And that she looked badass. It put Kate a little more at ease. It was obvious Beau could fight, so there was that to talk about, if nothing else.
"I guess I could stick around," she said, taking a breath and letting the tension ease out of her. She'd fought villains and aliens and monsters and her parents. She could talk to an attractive woman. "I'm just...not...great at this?" She'd always sort of stumbled into relationships by virtue of being a superhero, so she'd never really had to work at the whole charm thing. Something she was definitely regretting.
"And I could talk your ear off about archery," she said. Honestly, that was making her relax more than anything. Archery was her happy place and she was definitely more at ease with that than anything. "Or if you want, I could show you sometime."
A drink. Yeah. That would be good. They were both stumbling through this a little.
"A drink sounds good," Kate said with a smile. "Let's do that.
