Gwen + Loki
Gwen was both impressed and envious at the same time? The ability to pull off such a coat with the confidence that he did was just incredible - and something she certainly didn't have despite trying to live without care of others' opinions. His comment made her duck her head a little bashfully for a moment. "Nah, I think I better pace myself? Don't wanna dig that hole too quickly," she insisted with a small smile. Though really, how worse could she get than finger guns?
He had a point - and honestly she wouldn't know what to do with anyone as intimidating. "Pray and give it your very best?" Gwen laughed softly, while her eyes darted around to make sure Emma Frost wasn't exactly in earshot. Because last thing she wanted was to piss any of the Avengers off. She didn't know Emma Frost personally but she knew of her and a hint of her reputation. Regardless, major HBIC vibes. Gwen's gaze fixated on the stranger once more, though, and she smirked faintly. "Though with that jaw structure I'm pretty sure you could give her a run for her money." Which honestly, she was just stating facts at this point.
"Oh! Right." She jutted her hip out semi-awkwardly, holding the lock up as best she could in offering since her symbiote wasn't cooperating by letting it go. God she could have planned this better, but she honestly went from the door to the dance floor and only came off it to get a drink in hopes to semi-hydrate and check on Eddie and Peter. Who seemed to be doing just fine. Cap's pep talk still ran through her head occasionally - and honestly it was a big part of what got her to come to the party, but, well, distractions.
Gwen managed to catch a glimpse at his feet amidst the flow-y-ness of his coat. "I love your boots," she gushed genuinely, looking up at him and noticing the matching eyeshadow thanks to the new proximity, it had her doing a double-take. "And your makeup. The whole look, honestly," Gwen said, without the slightest clue as to who she was really complimenting. "I feel completely under-dressed."
Which, thankfully, her symbiote did not take it upon itself to change her outfit in response.
