Booster & Ted
There was a part of him that wanted to make a joke. He wanted to say something, anything, that could deflect from what Ted meant. As much as he wanted to joke or tease the other, as much as he wanted to deflect, he couldn't. His emotions were already there out in the open for everyone to see. He couldn't take it back or hide it so he returned the smirk and forced out a chuckle instead.
It wasn't like he actually wanted to go out there and look for anyone else. Even if Ted's key hadn't worked he already knew that his best friend was his other half. He was still living with the memory of how empty and hollow he'd felt after Ted had died. That memory probably should've encouraged him to be a little bolder. It shouldn't haven taken a party and a key.
"I..." He started, not really sure of what to say or how to respond to any of that. "I don't want to go home with anyone else either." He admitted. Though his own attempts at trying to find affection elsewhere were only partially about making Ted jealous. He was mostly trying to protect himself, trying to force his attention and feelings elsewhere so he wouldn't have to figure out what to do with himself if Ted didn't feel the same way.
"I didn't know you were trying to make me jealous. I just sorta thought I wasn't your type." He had been jealous though. He'd watched Ted gleefully chat with Diana and Babs over the network and had been jealous.
