Booster & Ted
"I don't need to find them," Ted insisted with a shrug and a smirk. If he were being brutally honest with himself; he'd admit to already having found all he needed. And it wasn't the scarab working for him, or the approval from Batman, or having a multi-million dollar company and legacy, or even the affections of Barbara Gordon and a very specific Themyscirian Princess.
It was Booster - always had been. Introducing the two had been the only good thing Max Lord ever did.
And the lock opening with the key he'd been carrying around was maybe all that needed to be said, really. At least for now. And who the hell was going to argue with Eros? Ted's eyebrows rose before he let out a quick quip of a laugh as if to say would you look at that, before his gaze darted back to Michael with affection followed by slight confusion.
"What are we doing, Boost?" Ted asked a little quieter with almost a hapless shrug, his voice carrying loud enough for the other man to still hear him. "I don't really want to go home with anyone else, no matter how attractive it all might be for a night— I don't want to hurt you that way anymore for a little jealousy," the shorter man admitted. He was guilty of seeking affection elsewhere while dancing around his own denial, hand-in-hand with his fear of dying again. Which thankfully was dwindling the longer they stayed in Night Vale.
