Peter & Aphrodite
Peter was a little late to arrive at the party. A miscommunication was Tony (Peter had called tonight a 'Key Party') led the elder Avenger to try and dissuade Parker from coming. But after Peter explained what was really meant to happen tonight and the fact he thought it would be a good way to meet new people, Stark relented (after assigning Peter a very strict curfew).
Due to his late arrival, took him a while to find the person whose lock matched his key. When he finally did find his date for the evening, he truly couldn't have been more excited (now, he just hope that he could get through the night without dying everything he owned Stuart Semple pink). He'd already spent a little time with Aphrodite, explaining to her about all the advancements that the mortals had made in the last few thousand years. (He was still trying to work out whether or not Aphrodite just looked like Ariana Grande or if Ariana Grande was simply Aphrodite's current form on earth - they were both A names and Ariana was Sicilian; it felt like there might be a connection or a conspiracy there).
Peter liked her already; it was easy to do. She was beautiful, smart, and Parker was simply fascinated by her stories of the past. He knew enough about mythology to know that all the Greek Gods could be mercurial, which worried him somewhat - but he felt like as long as he remained on his best behaviour, he had nothing to worry about.
After using their drink tickets to secure Aphrodite a cocktail (and himself a mocktail, since he was still only nineteen), Peter managed to lead his date across the dancefloor to a small, unoccupied booth where they could sit together, talk, and listen to the music. He supposed if he thought about it too much, he might get a little stuck on how odd it was that Eros set his own mother up on a date with someone as young as Peter was, but his preservation instincts were too strong for him to want to bring it up. He didn't know a lot about dating, but he knew it would probably be a terrible idea to draw attention to Aphrodite's age.
"So." He leaned in a little closer to her to make sure that they could hear each other properly over the penetrative base. "I think Eros did a really great job putting this party together! I'm really glad that he paired the two of us together."
Peter had to wonder, as he paused to take a sip of his drink, if maybe Aphrodite herself had a hand in her son's selection process and that if she'd picked him - but those weren't thoughts that he could dwell on too long if he wanted his clothes to remain un-pink.
