Kara's tears continued to fall, but she was still able to notice the slight catch in Lily's voice. She looked up at the red head and wondered if it was alright to ask anything about it, thinking it might help her, Kara, out with her grief, but she decided not to. She took comfort in the fact that the woman talking to her and trying to comfort her was not just making things up and not just telling her things because she thought that was what she was supposed to do. She was doing it because she understood how Kara felt.
Her sobs quieted down a bit, as she recalled the fact that Lily was rather reserved about telling her that she, Lily, was a witch at first. That obviously meant they had to keep things secret as well.
The pain in her legs became suddenly more real as she was slowly calming down from the initial shock of losing her parents. She looked down at her body for the first time to truly see what she had done to herself on accident. With tears still falling, but more silently now, she realized that she had been clinging onto Lily, while she was bleeding. "Did I get blood on you?" She asked with the most sincere face.
