River glanced up as the boy stepped toward her. She flinched slightly at the oddity of his thought patterns. She reached out one hand, dark eyes narrowing slightly. "Incomplete," she finally decided as her hand fluttered just over his shoulder before darting away without making contact.
His mind was absolutely fascinating and she thought she could devote entire hours to the exploration of it ... but that was hardly appropriate or proper just then.
She knew he was one of the arrivals, like her, because he hadn't been there and then he had been; there'd been no distant approach, and she smiled proudly. "Found the right spot." She gestured, tapping at the air with her hand. "Random and arbitrary arrival points, semi-central within a five to ten mile radius. Localized phenomenon," she clarified before she tilted her head.
