He listened, and though it was hard to believe, it... did sound fairly accurate. He supposed that if he was honest he'd had his suspicions about it for a while, but he hadn't been really wanting to accept that it was possible to have traveled 500 some years into his past, when for so long he'd wished to go just 10. Things could have been so much better...
"I kept hearin' 2010," he said carefully. "Reckon'd it was just this planet's way of keepin' time. Some of the border moons..." he trailed off, looking around him. "They's a bit behind the times. Thought this one was just... left t'it's own devices too long, started up..." he trailed off before he shrugged. "Guess I ain't met anybody t'contradict that theory." He certainly hadn't had a long enough conversation with River, or she'd have disproved it. Or maybe she'd known better than to try with him.
"So alright," he said, frowning, trying to remember how they got on this embarrassing subject. "This Robin folk. He don't fit in 'cause he's from before you folks got all colonized and whatnot?"
