River glanced over to him without breaking stride. She smiled broadly. "Can do many things," she assured him. "None required at this time, however. Will call in a favor if they become necessary at a point in the future."
Tilting her head to one side, she studied him. "Rose colored glasses but not the way you see life," she observed. "Necessity not desire, personality, or fashion sense." She made a tsking noise.
"Unable to mend. Lack the necessary skills."
She paused abruptly and shook her head before resuming to match his pace. "River," she introduced herself.
