"Twenty-forty-nine," she offered. "Mid-June. It was the end of my last year of school," she added. "The last day, actually. I was on my way downstairs to go to the train ... when I showed up here instead."
While she didn't know exactly what year it was, what she'd glimpsed had definitely seemed in the past to her.
"I don't mind," she said suddenly. "About the clothes I mean. In case you thought I did. One of my cousins would mind, but she's very up on ... on fashion." A sheepish little smile graced her lips. "Fashion for ... the non magical sorts, at any rate."
