"Can't be any worse than back home," she assured him. "Rain, fog, overcast, and snow were about our weather options. Sometimes there'd be sunny days, and if we were lucky, more than a couple in a row." She smiled. "We went to the beach sometimes on sunny days, though mum never really wanted to come along." Her shoulders lifted in a shrug; that was simply how things were. "Aunt Lily and Uncle Noah were always happy to take us though, when dad couldn't."
Felicity followed along, though she didn't think she'd have any trouble finding ways to keep herself entertained. She could read, after all, and had a whole wide world to explore.
"I'd like that," she assured him. "Probably best I learn the ins and outs of it before I get myself lost."
