Who: Remus and Teddy What:Reuniting the Lupins Where: The cafeteria When: Evening, June 1st Warning: None
Remus was nervous. He hadn't felt this nervous since he was a kid, but then, he'd never been about to introduce himself to his teenaged son before. He thought perhaps he could be forgiven for his anxiety.
His son had been at the forefront of his mind ever since his conversation with Lily. He didn't even know what the boy looked like, or what he might think about meeting a father that was only a few years older than himself, or what had happened to Remus. What if he had abandoned him? If he had changed his mind about having a child, couldn't that have changed as well? Twenty years was a long time.
With worries and doubts fluttering in his mind, Remus headed to the cafeteria. He had seen a boy with blue hair walk into the building about ten minutes earlier, and though he hadn't gotten a good look, he knew it had to be Teddy.
He had debated for some time about the most appropriate way to approach his son. There wasn't really protocol for this sort of thing, and he didn't want to seem…well, to be honest he didn't how he was going to come off as. No matter what he did, the truth was that it wasn't everyday that your father walked up and introduced himself. What if he scared him?
Entering the cafeteria, it didn't take long to spot the boy from across the main hall. He stood out, and Remus smiled a little to himself at that. He took a breath to steady himself before he approached the boy's table.
"Excuse me," fortunately, he didn't sound nearly as nervous as he felt. "Hullo. Are you…" he hesitated only a fraction of a second, "Teddy Lupin?"
